The new BTCT Canadian brick tie is a versatile solution for connecting wood structures to brick veneer. It is specifically designed to meet the NBC Canadian code requirements for brick veneer connections. This brick tie is a one-to-one replacement for our current BT brick tie in Canada. Updates include a pre-bend ¼″ (6.4mm) from the centre of the fastener hole, 20-gauge thickness, and a hot-dip galvanisation finish with a minimum coating thickness of 2.6 mil.

Installation
- Use a #8 wood screw or a 3" (76 mm) common spiral nail, penetrating at least 1.5" (38 mm) into the backup material
- Utilize a #10 wood screw, penetrating at least 1.5" (38 mm) into the backup material
