OCB Ornamental Column Base
Product Details
The OCB ornamental column base attaches a column so that the bottom of the base plate is flush with the concrete. The OCB features a black powder-coat finish and is from the Simpson Strong-Tie® Rustic Collection of its Decorative Hardware group.

Load Tables
- Allowable loads have been increased for wind or earthquake loading with no further increase allowed. Reduce where other loads govern.
- Minimum side cover for full loads is 3" for CBs.
- Install with bottom of base flush with concrete.
- Post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent members from rotating about the base and therefore are not recommended for installations that lack top support (such as fences or unbraced carports).
- All references to bolts are for structural-quality through bolts (not lag screws or carriage bolts) equal to
or better than ASTM A307, Grade A.
